We are seeking a Trainee Product Engineer to join a busy manufacturing company based in Havant. This position will start on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Product Manager, duties will include:
Provide technical sales support to internal and external sales staff.
Provide technical support to the companys’ manufacturing group.
To liaise with the company headquarters’ commercial and engineering departments.
Maintain and record project details.
Data cleansing of the companys’ IT business systems.
Market and competitor analysis.
Evaluate technical requests and offer best solutions..
To assist Product manager and Senior product engineers day to day.
Preparation of costings and drawings for cable assembly proposals.
Materials and process research.
To assist with project and new product management.
Data analysis / statistics.
This role would suit candidates that have either a HNC / BTEC in engineering - either mechanical or electro/mechanical that are looking to gain practical experience within the engineering field.
Candidates should have good computer skills and a basic knowledge / understanding of CAD.
This is an immediate requirement.
Salary will be £14,000 (£7.18 per hour)
