Job Description

I urgently require a PRODUCT ASSURANCE ENGINEER to be based on my clients site in Portsmouth.

You will have strong Product Assurance backgrounmd with practical knowledge of implemented quality systems you will have a minimum of 5 years experience of Space/Aerospace Product Assurance activities and ideally have a knowledge of European Space Agency requirements. The main Job Definitions: Plan, perform and report against contractual Quality Assurance requirements applicable to the Assembly, Integration and Test activities. Perform Product Assurance activities, by the implementation of procedures and processes, to ensure product quality meets the stated requirements. Work within the requirements of the assigned projects and Business Unit, controlling, managing and reporting on the assigned Work Packages. Promote good practice and suggest improvements across the international Product Assurance organisation Apply Company and project-specific Product Assurance requirements and standards, assuring the implementation of the Contractual Quality Assurance requirements for the Satellite Payload Module. Co-ordinate with PTS Product Assurance representative to ensure all PA aspects of the PTS are satisfied. Participate in the generation, approval and implementation of internal AIT documentation and activities for the project. Produce Product Assurance and Quality Control documentation as needed. Co-ordinate inputs and outputs from associated business specialists such as Materials, Processes and Reliability. Conduct internal assessments or audits against the Satellite Payload Module requirements and procedures as needed. Review and approve internal Satellite Payload Module AIT life cycle documentation. Chair and support AIT quality gate reviews internally and at supplier/customer premises. Manage non-compliances through controlled implementation of corrective and preventive measures. Ensure Manufacture quality records evidence and support the Design standard and contractual requirements. Generate metrics to measure effectiveness and to form a basis of improvement activities. Provide regular status reporting to the clients AIT Quality Manager and AIT Project Manager.
