Our client a pharmaceutical company are currently seeking a Senior Clinical Research Nurse to join their expanding team on a permanent basis in Hampshire. Reporting to the head of clinical operations your role will be to effectively lead the nursing team and to assist in carrying out and completing clinical studies.
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 (flexible dependant on experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES
-To provide high standards of nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and company procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for subjects undergoing study specific procedures.
-To educate, inform, and assist subjects taking part in research and associated procedures and to act as the subjects advocate at all times.
- To produce and maintain precise study records in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonisation and Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP).
- To assist in and lead where delegated, the set up of new clinical trials.
- To act as study site co-ordinator.
- To take a lead on the closing down of clinical trials including; gathering of data, locking the database and writing the CSR as required.
- To assist the Management team with the development of initiatives including ethical and practical considerations of the day to day running of studies.
- To lead the nursing team and work autonomously as part of the nursing team.
- To act as a liaison between science and clinical staff, ensuring effective communication at all times.
- To act as a liaison between and consultants and the nursing team.
- To support and assist the Head of Clinical Operations and to deputise in his/her absence.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered nurse with significant experience within research, managing multi centre trials.
- Experience within respiratory therapeutic area
- Previous experience of motivating and supervising a team
- To be able to work to and meet deadlines, managing your own time effectively
