PCB Assembler/PCB Assembly Technician
Hook, Hampshire
£15,000 - £17,500 DOE plus Contributory Pension Scheme (after probation period), Bonus Scheme (after 3 months, based on achieving production targets), 23 Days Holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays

Our client is the UK market leader in contract electronics manufacturing, utilising the very latest technology and equipment from their manufacturing centre in Hook, Hampshire. An opportunity has now arisen for a PCB Assembler/PCB Assembly Technician to join their team.

For this role, our client is looking to recruit a candidate with experience in a similar PCB assembly role or an equivalent background within electronics manufacturing.

As the PCB Assembler/PCB Assembly Technician, you will carry out hand assembly of Printed Circuit Boards in accordance with quality and industry standards.

Key tasks will include:
- Interpreting assembly drawings and items lists to assemble PCBs to IPC-J-STD-001, class 3
- Soldering conventional components to IPC-J-STD-001, class 3
- Pre-forming, inserting and cropping component leads using hand tools
- Incorporating modifications such as wire links and track cuts

To prove your ability to succeed within the role of PCB Assembler/PCB Assembly Technician, applicants should demonstrate a good background within an electronics manufacturing environment, or specific experience of a similar PCB assembly role.

The PCB Assembler/PCB Assembly Technician will also require a good education, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs, and a good understanding of component identification codes.

In addition to your excellent attention to detail, the successful candidate will also be able to work effectively to deadlines, using their proactive approach and excellent manual dexterity.

Any experience or qualifications specifically related to IPC-J-STD-001 would be of benefit to your application, though these are not essential.
